What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is being fully aware in the present moment without judgement. It is not thinking about the future or dwelling in the past.

Simply put, it is knowing what is happening – right now.

Why Mindfulness in Music?

Music is an expression that can be communicated beyond words. In music, we can find solace and inspiration. Music is all about the connection it makes with our heart. When we practice mindfulness, we come to understand ourselves and others more clearly. Mindfulness in music leaves us with a feeling of equanimity and helps us achieve natural resonance of the mind and body.

Mindfulness in music learning allows the young to develop emotional stability and create a basis for them to lead a happy and engaged life.
